Echoes in the Gray
When did I start to like the gloom,
The whisper of the storm’s dark plume?
In shadows deep, where echoes sway,
I found a kinship in the gray.
The rain that falls, a mournful song,
In darkness, I felt I belong.
Once vibrant hues now washed away,
My heart transformed from bright to gray.
Yet in this somber, muted night,
There's a question, soft and light.
Will colors lost return to me?
Will dawn break through this twilight sea?
For even storms must pass and fade,
The sun reclaims what night has made.
And in my heart, a spark remains,
A hope that I’ll find light again.
